Kevin Scully is the author of a range of published and performed works.
He was the inaugural Poet in Residence for the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path from June 2022 to 2023. A pamphlet, For The Journey, was published at the end of his residency. It can be purchased here.

A former journalist, with experience in newspapers, television and radio, he started writing at an early age.

His novel, The Rest is Silence, was released in paperback and ebook in 2019. This followed Harbour Glimpses, which was published as an ebook in May 2017. They have both picked up some favourable reviews.
Another project, Three Angry Men, is a spiritual memoir of his father, Ken, who was also known by his pen-name John Dawes. The writing of this followed a sabbatical in Australia looking over Ken's papers, which are housed in the Australian Catholic University's Strathfield campus. It is available free on the Books page.

He was born in Australia, where he also trained as an actor at NIDA, working professionally on the stage, film, television and radio for ten years.
He moved to Britain in 1988 where his life took something of an unexpected turn. He trained for the priesthood in the Church of England at Oxford and was ordained in St Paul's Cathedral in 1993, serving in the Dioceses of London and Southwark. While no longer filling a stipendiary church post, he maintains an active ministry taking services in three dioceses.
Kevin is married to the opera singer, Adey Grummet.
